Realm of The Lair a group exhibition curated by Ben Stone and Siebren Versteeg

October 12-Nov. 2, 2002 Opening Reception: Saturday October 12th 7pm-11pm

Themes of fantasy and role-play gaming will highlight this group exhibition of artists from Chicago and abroad. Featuring a self-portrait miniature army by Derek Fansler, collaborative painting by Melissa Oresky and Frank Pollard, prints from a barbarian picture book by Neil Whitacre, modified weaponry by Chuck Jones and more. The exhibit will also include an accompanying video program of work by 0tv.com and re-animated interviews with patrons of a sci-fi/role-playing game convention by Scott Roberts. In addition, the curators intend to host a campaign of Dungeons and Dragons with the show's participants which can be witnessed during gallery hours.
